Our Philosophy

Why we started Chad & Liu.

The best practitioners rarely teach. Most bank training is written by people several steps removed from the decisions it's meant to support. We thought there was a better way.

How we teach

Every workshop puts participants directly behind the wheel. You're not watching a presentation about balance sheet management — you're sitting as the management board, facing the same trade-offs that real ALM and treasury desks navigate every day: meeting market expectations for earnings, staying solvent under stress, and working within regulatory and business constraints simultaneously.

The scenarios are competitive and timed. Teams make decisions, defend them, and see what the market does next. That pressure is intentional. It's how practitioners actually learn to think.

The curriculum isn't fixed. Stagflation, stablecoins, solvency crises, shifting regulatory regimes — the landscape keeps changing, and so does what we teach. We update the material the same way we update our own thinking: by staying close to the problems.
